Our Curriculum

In all of our play rooms the educators’ programs are guided by the government’s Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

Each child attending our centre will have an Individual Portfolio which is a record of their learning and development during the year. This portfolio contains learning stories, art work, observations, conversations, photos and educators progress reports. These are valuable records of a child’s learning. During the year parents will be given updates on their child’s progress. At the end of the year a copy of the child’s portfolio is sent home as a keepsake for parents.

Our curriculum includes providing incursions and excursions for the children at different times during the year to link in with their learning.

We also believe involving families is important to the children and therefore we hold special events during the year to encourage parents to come and join in the fun with their child.

Nutritious and Delicious Meals

We employ a Food Coordinator who prepares fresh food each day. We use a Food Safety program which is monitored by the City of Swan who conduct regular food safety audits.

Our centre’s Food and Nutrition policy follows the government’s “Get Up & Grow” healthy eating for early childhood framework.

Children are also offered healthy snacks during the day if required and water is served with all meals. Children are encouraged by staff to drink water throughout the day from their own drink bottle brought from home.

We have a 4 weekly rotating menu which changes from Summer to Winter so that the children always get a variety of different meals throughout the year. We also cater for children on different diets whether by choice, culture or allergies. You can see copies of the current menu on our kitchen whiteboard.

Childcare for all Age Groups

We welcome the following age groups:
Babies (6 weeks – 12 months)
Toddlers (1 – 3 years)
Preschoolers (3 – 5 years)
