Our play rooms

Babies (Koala Room)

We care for a maximum of 12 babies per day in our koala room with one educator for every four babies. Our babies’ individual needs and developmental milestones are catered for by ensuring we take into account each baby’s own routine of sleep, feeding and play time. Our qualified educators ensure our babies participate in a variety of experiences following their interests which can include using art, singing, music, cooking plus indoors and outdoors play time. They use many different resources to enhance the babies’ growth and development.

Toddlers (Kookaburra Room)

Our educators in the kookaburra room are able to explore and develop each child’s self help skills at the child’s pace. This includes toilet training which is managed in conjunction with parents to give the child consistent support in both the home and childcare environment. The kookaburra playroom has supported free play along with structured play using a variety of resources to encourage toddlers to explore while learning. Most toddlers have a rest/sleep after lunch while those who aren’t keen to rest/sleep participate in quiet play time.

Kindy (Echidna Room)

We know how important it is to prepare our kindy kids for BIG school which is why our echidna room educators implement our School Readiness Program. We work closely with the local Primary Schools to ensure we are aware of the current school curriculum. In our echnidna play room we assist in further developing the children’s self help skills and encouraging them to become independent learners. Our kindy play room uses a variety of resources to enhance both structured and free-play learning while following the Government’s Early Years Learning Framework.. The children enjoy the free flow of indoor & outdoor activities throughout the day as well as participating in group time activities like news time and story telling.
