About Stratton Early Learning Centre
A centre with over 30 years experience caring for local families and their children.
We Help children create magical memories.
At Stratton Early Learning Centre, we believe childcare and kindy for young children should feel like walking in to a second home. We have intentionally created an intimate environment where children can experience a close bond and relationship with their educators.
Due to being a smaller centre with only 3 playrooms our competitive advantage is that every child is seen, valued & celebrated.
Stratton is proud to have the trust of the local community and Middle Swan Primary School that is directly across the road. For several decades we have continued to care for the families located in Stratton, Middle Swan, Swan View, Midvale, Midland and rural localities such as Gidgegannup.
We are a centre that is owned and operated by a local family with the owner Lynne (a mother and grandmother herself) present and available to discuss families needs or concerns.
We put a child’s need for fun, learning and friendship at the centre of everything that we do.
Our Story
Why Choose Stratton for Childcare
At Stratton Early Learning Centre we work closely with local families that require Before and After School Care, Vacation Care, shorter day options or casual drop in options. We offer all these options and more.
We offer a School Readiness Program. By working closely with Middle Swan Primary School we help families transition their children to school with minimal disruption and fuss.
We believe that fun, sustainability and play based learning within a smaller environment with consistent care givers helps children thrive and experience more moments of spontaneous joy.
We are a centre where:
- Children are celebrated and encouraged to express their individuality.
- Parents view us as an extension of home and feel supported.
- Long standing Educators have grown up in the centre (many have attended as children)
- The curriculum is child centred and play-based helping children tap in to and nuture their creativity and imagination.

Options & Flexibility
We care for babies in daycare right up to 11 year olds that attend our before and after school care and vacation care programs.
Creating Memories
Our main motto is "Excuse the mess, we are busy making memories" because we know having fun can also be messy!
Meet Our Team
Behind every long term childcare, daycare and vacation care centre is a team of passionate educators who have worked there for years.
At Stratton Early Learning, many of our staff attended the centre as babies. They also look after children of the children that originally attended. Relationship building and working in partnership with local families and educators is a special focus for the owner of the centre.
At Stratton our long term educators become like an extension of family, which is the way childcare was originally designed to be. Its a place where your child is nurtured and cared for by staff who go are more than happy to go the extra mile.
Highlights of our team:
- Very low staff turnover means your child builds a trusted relationship with their educators.
- All educators are experienced, educated & dedicated to childrens wellbeing and development.
- The diversity of the centre and local community is also reflected in the diversity of the team.
- Some staff attended Stratton and Middle Swan Primary School as children and have grown up in the area.
Our long term educators work at Stratton because they are dedicated and passionate about play, learning, creativity, safety, wellbeing, health and development of babies & children.
They love being immersed in the community and watching families grow up together.
With community building and connection becoming more important than ever Stratton Early Learning stands out as a centre that has nurtured it’s long term relationships with care and patience.

What Makes Child Care at Stratton Different?
We are a small family run centre with 3 playrooms and 4 outside play areas. Its a place where the educators build relationships with children and their families.
In a smaller centre children get the chance to be known, loved and cared for in a way that might not be possible in a larger centre.
Here’s what sets us apart:

Child-Led Initatives
Every child has the insight to be drawn to what interests them. We follow their curiosity, adapt our programs accordingly, and give them the scope to expand their imaginations.

Small Centre
Our centre is small with limited number of places available and we intend on keeping it that way. Smaller centres with the same educators every day helps children develop trust, consistency and routine.

Ready for School
We help children prepare and ready to transition to school by working closely with Middle Swan Primary School and other schools located in the area.

Slow, Respectful Transitions
Children move rooms when they’re ready, not based on age. This ensures security and confidence at every developmental stage.

Keeping Siblings Together
For example we are able to provide care for a family with a baby, 3 year old and 11 year old due to our additional before and after school (OSHC) options and vacation care programs.

Environmental Focus
We teach sustainability through teaching children about nature & our environment. We show them that small actions make a huge difference.
Our Promise
Whether you are wanting to make the switch to a smaller centre, moving in to the area, a first-time mum or dad, we know that the early years can be an exciting yet stressful time.
That’s why we’re committed to being:
- Patient, we walk you through enrollment process
- Generous, we aim to give you value for money
- Honest, we aim to be transparent always
- Trustworthy, building relationships with families
We take the time to help you navigate Child Care Subsidy (CCS) if needed, we will accomodate any food requirements, and overall we will make sure you feel totally comfortable when choosing Stratton for your baby or child.
We offer an additional “stay and play” session after a centre tour. You can spend some extra time in the centre with your child to make sure it is the right fit for both of you.
