Why Choose Stratton Early Learning Centre?
Welcome to Stratton Early Learning. Where Learning Looks a little Messy
Stratton ELC is an established well respected child care centre in the Eastern Foothills Suburbs of Perth.
At Stratton Early Learning Centre, we believe child care should ever feel clinical. Our environment is warm, inviting, messy and fun.
Local families have been sending their children to our centre for decades because our formula works. We help kids have a fun-filled, happy, celebrated childhood and help support their families in the process.
We offer something different to larger centres:
We are a small centre with limited placements where your child is not a number but a unique human with individual gifts and talents. We create a happy child friendly atmosphere where it feels like walking in to an inviting warm home.
The learning environment is structured around the child’s interests and natural inclinations. We believe creativity is unleashed when curiosity is nurtured and protected.
What makes us unique
What Makes Stratton ELC Different?
We are child centered
Children are natural leaders, full of ideas and questions. We embrace their zest for life and ability to be in the moment and have fun.
Whether it’s a toddler learning about bees, a preschooler asking about camping in the bush, or a child in after school care that loves playing games we build on a child’s natural interests to shape experiences and build confidence.
We are relationship centered
We have a low educator turnover for a reason. The same educators are present each day for the children. This builds trust, consistency and reliability over time. The educators get to know your children and this care is self evident in the relationships that form between families and the educators.
We are fun centered
Every child gets to have fun at Stratton, whether it’s participating in pancake day, going on an excursion or learning a new skill.
We welcome and celebrate families from all cultures and backgrounds. Our centre is located near a nature play area that is rich in resources and art supplies.
We are sustainability focused
Every program, activity that is created has sustainable practices front of mind. We have “earth hour” every day where the lights are turned off. Water monitors are placed on the taps. We have implemented a food scrap compost system.
For artistic supplies Stratton has a subscription to ReMida which is a Reggio Emilia-inspired creative reuse centre that rescues unwanted materials and creatively repurposes them.
We are family focused
Whether you’re parent navigating the child care system for the first time, a parent needing to move their 3 children from another centre or a FIFO worker juggling logistics, we are here to support you. We offer:
- A flexible centre tour process
- Help with Child Care Subsidy (CCS)
- Shorter days, OSCH, vacation care
- Transparent & frequent updates
- Communication & warm handovers
- Individual personalised care
What we offer
Stratton ELC Programs
We offer care to babies aged from six weeks old to five years. This provides consistency of care from babyhood to preschool. For older primary aged children aged 6 to 11 we offer before and after school care and vacation care programs.

Babies Room (6 weeks - 2 Years)
A calm, nurturing space focused on secure attachment, responsive routines, and sensory exploration. We follow your baby’s home routine and provide gentle, one-on-one care to help your child feel safe, settled, and loved.

Toddlers Room (2 – 3 years)
Busy minds, busy bodies. Our toddler program supports language, independence, social skills, and emotional regulation, all through hands-on, child-led discovery. We work with you on milestones like toilet learning and group routines, always at your child’s pace.

Kindy & Preschool (3 – 5 years)
Confident learners with big ideas. Our preschoolers engage in inquiry-based projects, early literacy and numeracy, and experiences that prepare them for school in every way - emotionally, socially, and academically. We support school transition through our School Readiness Program.
